Ni Acuña ni Piedras Negras tienen capacidad para atender la ola migrante que se les viene

PIEDRAS NEGRAS, COAH.- El fin del Título 42 y la oleada de migrantes que están llegando en grupos, traerán problemas a las fronteras de Acuña y Piedras Negras, consideró el obispo de la Diócesis de Piedras Negras, Gerardo Alonso Treviño.
Consideró que el cambio de política migratoria de Estados Unidos provocó que desde hace semanas están llegando cientos de migrantes, y se esperan muchos más.

Dijo que a todas las fronteras llegará un mayor número de migrantes, por lo que aumentarán los deportados y, con ello, los problemas para atenderlos.
“No sé qué tanto se va a incrementar el problema con las medidas que tome Estados Unidos, pero de que va a crecer, estoy 100 por ciento seguro”, aseveró.
Dijo que en pocos días que tiene en Piedras Negras desde su regreso de Roma, ha notado un aumento considerable de migrantes en esta frontera.
También el jefe católico reconoció que en Piedras Negras y Acuña no existe una fórmula para atender a tantos migrantes, ya que simplemente no se tiene la capacidad.
Empero, añadió, se tiene que pensar en alguna solución y, para ello, habrá de solicitar una reunión con las autoridades correspondientes, para diseñar un plan para otorgar un mejor servicio a los migrantes.
Respecto al tema de la criminalización de los migrantes en Estados Unidos, aseveró que se trata de algo inhumano, ya que todos tienen derechos, aunque incumplan con ciertas leyes.
El religioso recordó que el propio Papa Francisco, al hablar con los obispos de México en su reciente viaje al Vaticano, sobre el tema de los migrantes les aseguró que ninguna acción, por extrema que parezca, habrá de detenerlos.
