Proyectan nuevo Centro Histórico en Saltillo; iniciarán obras en fiestas decembrinas

Un nuevo corredor peatonal en el Centro Histórico de Saltillo, tipo colonial, pero con acceso controlado para emergencias, es el proyecto que dará a conocer el alcalde José María Fraustro en los próximos días, dando paso a un nuevo primer cuadro de la ciudad; la obra comenzará a realizarse después de las fiestas decembrinas, dieron a conocer vecinos del sector.
Se trata de dos cuadras de la calle de Benito Juárez, desde la calle de Bravo y hasta su cruce con Ignacio Allende, pero dejando libres de tránsito los cruces con Hidalgo, Bravo y Allende.
De acuerdo con los vecinos que fueron consultados por el Ayuntamiento de Saltillo, incluso en una reunión con el alcalde José María Fraustro, se les expuso el proyecto y mostraron su conformidad por los beneficios que traerá a la ciudad y a los habitantes y comerciantes del sector.

Los vecinos dieron a conocer que se trata de elevar al mismo nivel de las banquetas el paso el tramo de la calle de Juárez entre Bravo y Miguel Hidalgo, convertirlo sólo en uso peatonal, sin embargo, el diseño es tipo colonial y lo que se utilizará para evitar el paso de vehículos se podrán retirar ante una emergencia.
Lo mismo sucederá en la calle de Juárez, pero en el tramo de Miguel Hidalgo hasta Ignacio Allende, dejando libre acceso controlado para Palacio de Gobierno, algunos negocios que hay en la zona como restaurantes, oficinas y una joyería, la Academia Interamericana de Derechos Humanos, así como el museo.
Aclararon que las calles de Bravo, Hidalgo y Allende mantienen su flujo continuo, lo cual también resulta benéfico porque en el cruce de Juárez y Bravo es un paso de cortesía, además en esa calle pasa una ruta urbana. También beneficia a la calle de Hidalgo, porque no obstante que se piensa en semáforos peatonales, el flujo será más rápido, lo mismo que en la calle de Allende.
Además informaron que no hay aún monto de inversión porque este tema lo dará a conocer el Alcalde de Saltillo cuando haga la presentación, pero antes se quiso obtener el consenso que los vecinos y propietarios de locales.

Se dijo que la directiva del Casino de Saltillo también vio una buena opción de realizar una extensión de su restaurante para colindar con la zona peatonal.
Insistieron en que lo importante, además de que la zona se convierta en peatonal y se le brinde más seguridad a quienes quieren disfrutar del Centro Histórico, es que el proyecto busca rescatar y armonizar esta área.
Este corredor será sobre la calle de Juárez, en su tramo de Bravo a Allende.
