Coahuila y Saltillo superan tasa de suicidios en media nacional, reporta INEGI

De acuerdo con el INEGI, la tasa de suicidios promedio en el país es de 6.5 casos por cada 100 mil habitantes, sin embargo, en Coahuila se incrementa a casi 10 y Saltillo registra 10.23 sucesos por cada 100 mil habitantes, con datos del 2021, los más recientes.
Durante el 2021, el estado obtuvo 171 homicidios y 302 suicidios de acuerdo con el INEGI.
El diputado Alvaro Moreira Valdés (PRI) dijo que el suicidio ya es un problema de salud pública con un incremento sostenido en los últimos años. En el 2021, México reportó ocho mil 351 suicidios, una tasa de 6.5 casos por cada 100 mil habitantes, un incremento del 25 por ciento en comparación al 2018, en que ocurrieron seis mil 710, es decir, mil 641 más.
En hombres, la tasa fue de 10,9 por cada 100 mil y en mujeres fue de 2,4 por cada 100 mil. Los hombres de 15 a 29 años son el grupo con mayor riesgo debido a que ocurren 16.2 autoatentados por cada 100 mil hombres.
El suicidio en este rango de edad aumentó en los últimos años: en el 2015 la tasa fue de 8.1 casos por cada 100 mil personas y en el 2021 llegó a 10.4.

Los grupos de mayor riesgo, apropiados, son los niños y jóvenes: las lesiones autoinfligidas representan la tercera causa de muerte en edades de 10 a 14 años, y de 15 a 24 años; la sexta entre los 25 y 34, y entre los 35 y 44 años es la novena causa.
“El problema está presente en todos los rincones del país. En Coahuila su incidencia es un factor de preocupación por parte de las autoridades que ha requerido una atención inmediata.
“La Secretaría de Salud del Estado, en coordinación con municipios e instituciones educativas, han reforzado las acciones en materia de prevención, en especial las relacionadas con la atención de la salud mental, además de implementar el Código 100, estrategia enfocada en atender la depresión ya pacientes con posibles conductas suicidas”, expresó.
Algunos factores de riesgo son el consumo de drogas y alcohol, los problemas económicos, la ruptura de relaciones sentimentales y las enfermedades.
