Registran hoteles ocupación de hasta el 70%

Durante la Semana Santa la ocupación en los hoteles de ciudades coahuilenses llegó hasta el 70%, mientras que en el caso de los pueblos mágicos y pueblos con historia, al 100%, dijo el vicepresidente de la Asociación Mexicana de Hoteles y Moteles de Coahuila, Héctor Horacio Dávila Rodríguez.
Destacó que llegaron a Coahuila visitantes principalmente de Zacatecas, Aguascalientes, San Luis Potosí, Tamaulipas, Durango y Nuevo León, así como el turismo interno, que originó una ocupación promedio de 2.5 días.

La AMHMC había anticipado que en el periodo vacacional de Semana Santa y Pascua se esperaba una derrama de hasta 440 millones de pesos, toda vez que en el mismo periodo del año pasado se generaron 360 millones.
Sobre la inseguridad que se presenta en carreteras de estados vecinos, el empresario comentó que las de Laredo, Matehuala y San Luis Potosí son las más peligrosas, y señaló que en Semana Santa es cuando deberían de estar más protegidas.
Dijo también que se presentó un elevado tránsito de paisanos por la entidad, mientras que en el caso de los que pasan por Zacatecas, cuando van en caravana de cinco o seis unidades, la policía les brinda protección, pero sólo por las mañanas.
ALTAS VENTAS EN COMERCIOS
Por su parte, el director de la Canaco Saltillo, César Valdés, comentó que en términos generales les fue bien en Semana Santa a los comercios, pues mucha gente se quedó en la ciudad y entre los establecimientos más visitados estuvieron los restaurantes, así como las tiendas de autoservicio y departamentales (sobre todo para adquirir productos relacionados con la temporada vacacional).
