Reporta Hospital General de Piedras Negras aumento de atención a migrantes

PIEDRAS NEGRAS, COAH.- Las decenas de migrantes que llegan a Piedras Negras, con el fin de poder cruzar de forma ilegal el río Bravo, han provocado también que se incrementen el número de atenciones en el Hospital General de la Secretaría de Salud por alguna enfermedad o padecimiento.
El director del Hospital, Julio Garibaldi Zapatero, reconoció que el fenómeno migratorio o desplazamiento desde sus lugares o países de origen, trae problemas de salud o sociales, pues son más vulnerables no tienen las oportunidades que los vivimos en México.
“Los migrantes tienen menos oportunidad de acceder a los diferentes servicios por temor, ignorancia o por problemas económicos, la mayor parte de los que llegan a esta frontera se concentran en la zona centro, cercana al río Bravo, lo que se les dificulta para venir hasta el Hospital”, mencionó.

ATENCIÓN A VULNERABLES
Entre estas personas, añadió, se atiende a personas vulnerables como mujeres embarazadas, por lo que recuerdo que los migrantes pueden acudir también los centros de salud de la Jurisdicción Sanitaria o los del municipio.
“Se tienen hospitalizados en promedio entre dos o tres, recién nacidos, preescolares, escolares y adultos; el año pasado el mayor número de consultas era por traumatismos y violencia, pero ahorita es enfermedad general y embarazos, aunque también han llegado pacientes con enfermedades respiratorias, problemas de vesícula biliar, cardiovasculares y embolias”, apuntó.
